Oh my goodness!
This Mango Coconut Smoothie is SOOO good!
And to top it off, it is dairy and sugar free. Woot, woot!
While visiting my mom, she asked if I would like some of the smoothie she was making. I was a little skeptical at first when I saw her adding mango to the blender because it is always hit or miss with mangos.
This was definitely a hit!
I always smile now when I see coconut oil, because it reminds me of when my cousin’s family was in town visiting my parents.
He saw my mom making a smoothie, and he asked her if he could make one too. She said, ‘Of course!’ He began to make his smoothie and my mom didn’t think twice when he grabbed the coconut oil…
that is until he began liberally shoveling spoonful after spoonful of it into the blender. I could see my mom cringe more and more with each scoop. You see my mom doesn’t just pick up her coconut oil from the local grocery store, she orders hers all the way from the Philippines. It’s her one guilty pleasure.
So basically the smoothie tripled in value.
No need to fear, this Mango Coconut Smoothie is a little bit more conservative with its intake of coconut oil. 😉
It was all I could do to stop myself from drinking any of the smoothie while I was taking the pictures because it is that good.
- 2 cups mango (frozen)
- 1 cup peaches
- 1 banana
- 2 Tablespoons coconut oil
- 5 shakes salt
- Add all the ingredients in blender in the order listed. Mix, serve, and enjoy!
- Frozen and fresh fruit can be swapped out for each other easily. If you have all fresh fruit, add a few ice cubes for a chilled effect. If you have all frozen fruit, you may want to add water to help with the mixing.
And yet again, another kid-friendly smoothie. 🙂
